Multidisciplinary Artist

D.D. LORR creatively explores a select concept or question through various creative forms. What does freedom look like as a sculpture, abstract, or short film? Through this process, themes can be distilled. Across mediums, what remains true? She is fascinated with the study of facial expressions, and her portraits display this understanding. As an autistic woman, social norms were learned, sometimes making communication a performative act. She represents the dance between the intuitive, authentic, and social self, the layers of our experiences and expressions, visually through her work.
